About Us

Hi, we’re Sanchita & Garvit

We’re your hosts, and this is genuinely our home — not a listing we manage from somewhere else. If you message us, it’s one of us replying, usually from the same couch you’ll see in these photos.

The Golden Perch started from something pretty selfish, honestly — we wanted a place like it for ourselves and couldn’t find one. We travel a fair bit for work, and every option felt like a compromise. Hostels were too loud and too public. Hotels felt lonely, and nobody actually wants to eat dinner alone in a room every night of a two-week trip.

So we built something in between. Your own room, your own bathroom, a door that locks — but also a kitchen you’re welcome to wander into, and hosts who are genuinely around if you want to talk to someone, and genuinely out of your way if you don’t.

Most of what’s in this house reflects how we actually live: desks by the windows because we both work remotely and know how much a good one matters, a kitchen that’s stocked properly because we cook in it too, and a beach four minutes away because that’s the whole reason we picked this spot.

Meet the household

Two dogs consider the beach their personal office. If you go for a morning walk, expect company — neither has ever asked a guest for an itinerary.

Chiku — Head of Security

Has the ability to sniff out evil. Very friendly, quiet, and loves to run. Only allowed outside and on the patio — though on rare occasions, she’s let in to celebrate festivities.

Miku — Morale Officer

Happy just to be here — watching sunsets, chasing birds, and enjoying the company of whoever’s staying with us. Living the dream life.

Garvit — Host

A digital nomad who settled in Goa.

Lena — Caretaker

Understands Hindi and English, and is reachable over WhatsApp. We ask every guest to treat her with the same respect they’d want back.

Sanchita — Chief Happiness Officer

Happiest when well fed.

Come meet us properly

We’d rather show you around in person than keep talking about it here.
